Fishing nets to new beginnings CLONE

We were thrilled to welcome the team from the Ocean Recovery Project, Defra and Brixham Harbour to our HQ last week. Working alongside the charity Keep Britain Tidy to send nets and ropes to be processed in the UK, the team are looking for a solution to manage the redundant trawling nets at various harbours across the UK.
The trial involved baling the nets with our Mardon RamPack 650 Baler, which proved to be a great success. The team managed to reduce a whole van full of waste nets, comprising of 12 full dumpy bags into one neatly compacted bale, weighing an impressive 600kg! Meaning these bales can now be efficiently stored, ready to be collected for recycling.
The team will now present their results to their partners, and we hope to see Mardon RamPack balers in use harbourside very soon. Check out how the RamPack 650 baler performed and the significant difference it could make to their operation.
If you have a tricky material you think would need testing before committing to equipment – we are happy to meet on site to complete a FREE site survey and we welcome guests to our HQ to test any material.
