Team Spotlight: Serena Graham, Business Process Manager at Mardon Recycling Machinery.
At Mardon, we’re proud to have a team of dedicated individuals who each play a vital role in keeping our customers’ recycling operations running efficiently, and this month, we’re excited to introduce one of the people who has helped shape the way our business works from the inside out. This month’s Team Spotlight is on Serena Graham, Business Process Manager at Mardon Recycling Machinery.
Every business has people who keep things moving behind the scenes and at Mardon, Serena Graham is one of them. Since joining the team, she has built up a wealth of experience that spans across the business, from the fast-paced world of service coordination to developing the internal systems and processes that keep operations running smoothly. Now adding sales to her repertoire, Serena is someone who has grown with Mardon and continues to bring real value to the team and the customers we serve.
Tell us about yourself:
Can you introduce yourself and tell us a bit about your role at Mardon Recycling?
I started my career at Mardon working alongside Lin in the service department, helping Lin organise the engineers and dealing with breakdowns & servicing, I then moved to more of a back-end role after returning from maternity leave, developing our CRM System and internal processes, whilst updating our website and sales marketing media to enhance our customer service.
I have recently taken on a sales role following my colleagues retirement.
What drew you to work in recycling and sustainability?
When I joined Mardon, I was instantly made to feel welcome and part of the team and could see that there was room to grow within the company, I have learnt so much in the 10 years that I have been with Mardon and every day I learn something new, either about a recycling process, equipment or about new legislations that come in.
What is your favourite RamPack baler in our range?
RamPack 550 Baler – I think it is always a surprise of how big the baler actually is, you can’t really grasp the scale of them when you see them in the spec sheets, but in real life they are massive.
They are a customer favourite for a reason, they are easy to use and reliable, whilst producing huge bales of recyclable material!
What does a typical day look like for you here?
I process customer’s orders and organise transport and installations, whilst working alongside the workshop & servicing team.
How would you describe the team culture at Mardon?
I think everyone at Mardon have the same goals to push the company forward and give our customers the best customer service possible.
Mardon really are like a family, we are all friends and I really enjoy coming to work everyday.
I think especially when you have a young family, it is really important to work for a company that you feel valued in and enjoy spending your time there, and I can 100% say that about Mardon.
What do you like to do outside of work?
Outside of work I spend my time with my children, taking them swimming, going to parties, soft play, camping and on holidays.
Thank you, Serena, for your dedication, adaptability, and the breadth of knowledge you bring to everything you do. We’re grateful to have someone who has grown so much within the business and continues to bring that same commitment and care to every role you take on.
