Team Spotlight: Meet Steve Pocock, Mardon Engineer
This month we are shining the spotlight on Steve, who has been a valued member of the Mardon team for over 10 years! Known to most of us as Steve.P, he’s become a familiar face to customers up and down the country.
As a Field Service Engineer, Steve’s role takes him all over the country, servicing, repairing, installing and training customers on all kinds of recycling equipment.

Can you introduce yourself and tell us a bit about your role at Mardon Recycling?
What drew you to work in recycling and sustainability?
I’d just been made redundant from my last job when the opportunity at Mardon came up, and it turned out to be a real stroke of luck. I was offered the job pretty much straight away, and I’ve genuinely loved working with such a great bunch of people ever since.
What is your favourite RamPack baler in our range?
Probably the RamPackĀ HX600-50T. It’s a great all rounder, reliable, straightforward to work on, and it’s the kind of machine that just gets the job done, which I always appreciate.
What does a typical day look like for you here?
It varies a lot, which is one of the things I like about the job. Some days I’m out doing routine servicing, other days I could be responding to a call-out. You never quite know what the day’s going to bring, but that’s part of what keeps it interesting.
How would you describe the team culture at Mardon?
Very friendly, we all get on really well. Everyone’s happy to help each other out when it’s needed, and that makes a real difference day to day.
