Recycling Balers
A baler is a recycling machine that conveniently compresses recyclable materials into space-efficient, rectangular bales.
Recycling Balers cut waste volume by 90%
There are many advantages of incorporating a baler into your business’ waste management, from saved floor space to more efficient transportation which could prove more cost effective too. Not to mention that recycling companies will buy your waste recycling at a much higher rate when it is baled than when it’s loose.
Changes to the law and the introduction of the “Simpler Recycling” legislation means that businesses are no longer permitted to send recyclable materials such as cardboard and paper to landfill. Meaning recycling balers are more useful than ever to businesses producing medium-high volumes of recyclable waste.
At Mardon Recycling Machinery, we offer both Vertical Baler and Horizontal Baler solutions for your business. Our Vertical Balers are designed to deal with small to medium volumes of waste, while our Horizontal Balers are for high volumes of recyclable waste.
All new equipment comes with the option of Outright Purchase, Lease Rental & Hire*

Vertical BalersThe Benefits of a Waste Baler
Maximise Floor Space
Balers allow you to compress large volumes of recyclable materials into compact bales. Baled cardboard or plastic occupies less floor space, and using a baler can reduce or even eliminate the need for waste containers or a skip.
Improved Transport Efficiency
Due to the ability of balers to compress large volumes of recycling into smaller compact bales, it allows increased quantities of recycling to be transported at once. As well as being easier to handle.
Organised Waste Streams
A recycling baler can improve the organisation of waste streams for your business. This can increase your recycling rate while reducing the volume of general waste.

Baler Frequently Asked Questions
Can I use my Baler Outside?
Whilst all our RamPack waste/recycling machinery is suitable for outdoor operation; it is recommended that the machine is located indoors or in a covered area. Doing so will increase the working life of the machine. Colder weather conditions can also impact the performance of the recycling machinery.
If the baler is required to be outside, we offer a galvanised finish on all vertical balers.
Does my baler need to be serviced?
Yes, we highly recommend for your balers to be regularly serviced to ensure they are running smoothly. There are many reasons to frequently service your baler, from safety implications to increased efficiency. Get in touch with our team to find out more
Do cardboard boxes need to be flat packed before baling?
No, in fact, customers often produce better quality and heavier bales when boxes are loaded intact into the balers.
Can I Bale Shredded Paper?
This will depend on the way the paper is shredded. If paper is strip shredded, then it can be baled but confetti-like shredded paper cannot be baled.
Can I bale a range of material?
Yes our balers are built to bale multiple waste materials, such as Cardboard, Soft Plastics, Hard Plastics, Plastic Wrap, PET Bottles, Textiles and much more..
The important step is to not mix material within the bales, as this will eliminate any rebate available on sold bales.
